This year, the Northern Turtle Island Collective (NTI) and Mundial Montreal are once again launching a call for applications for artists wishing to take part in an unofficial showcase on October 20, ahead of WOMEX 2026 (Worldwide Music Expo), taking place from October 21 to 25, 2026 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain.

WOMEX is the largest international gathering and networking platform for the global music industry, bringing together over 2,600 professionals from more than 90 countries each October for a program of conferences, showcases, and film screenings.

PERFORM AT AN UNOFFICIAL SHOWCASE DURING WOMEX 2026

The B2BBQ and showcases are back! The unofficial showcase on October 20, 2026 will feature Canadian artists performing short sets in an intimate setting. To apply, please complete the call for applications form.

Free registration, limited spots. Selected artists must cover their own travel, accommodation, and WOMEX badge, and plan to arrive by October 20. This call is intended for those already attending WOMEX.

We strongly encourage applications from underrepresented artists, including Indigenous people, visible minorities, refugees, immigrants, 2SLGBTQAI+ communities, and women.
