Mundial Montréal unveils its full PRO program!

Mundial Montréal is back for its 13th edition from November 14 to 18! The event attracts over 300 music industry professionals, including Canadian and international delegates, to immerse themselves in the best of the global music scene. All professional activities and showcases will take place in several iconic venues in the heart of Montreal.   

2023 program

Opening Ceremony: A special guest to launch the 13th edition! 

We’re delighted to announce the participation of chef and activist Marlene Hale at the 2023 Opening Ceremony. Marlene will launch the 13th edition of Mundial Montréal with her intoxicating hypnotic drum and music. Marlene hails from the Likhsilyu clan of the Wet’suwet’en nation in northwestern Canada. She is a First Nations chef specializing in culture and cuisine. 

The Anticipated Return of Speed Smooze  

Mundial Montréal is thrilled to announce that Speed Schmooze is back again this year, and in the bubbly atmosphere we’ve come to expect. This networking activity gives you the chance to hold pre-organized “speed meetings” with colleagues who have the potential to connect with each other. It’s a chance to meet new faces, like-minded people who you may have already missed. All your appointments will appear in your Swapcard account closer to the event.  

Mentor Café  

The ever-popular Mentor Café is also back this year! This unique networking event is a golden opportunity for delegates to sit down with experienced industry mentors and share experiences, ask questions and gain valuable insights in an intimate format. Registration for the meetings will take place on site, at Galerie WIP.

The Return of the Affinity Meetings: Dedicated, Privileged Moments  

The affinity meetings, presented by MMF, AASPAA and the Centre des musiciens du monde, will enable managers, agents and artists to exchange ideas with professionals from the same industry. These dedicated moments will enable them to share common issues, and to reflect together on solutions and collaborations.  

Conferences

Mundial Montréal 2023 will feature three very interesting panels. The first, “Intersectional Languages of Northern Turtle Island,” in collaboration with ICI Musique, will be a conversation about the expansion of indigenous cultural industries. The second, “Fashion as a means of developing a visual identity on and off stage” will focus on the relationship between music and fashion around the global music scene. The final panel, “Sync Universe: Music Libraries and the Synchronization of Global Sounds for Commercial Purposes”, will discuss sound libraries and the constant evolution of new compositions and song placements for films and commercials. 

Presenters’ Meeting in Collaboration With CAPACOA  

The World Routes Network gatherings offer presenters time and space to meet, reflect, collaborate and coordinate. Together, they will discover and develop relationships with the different leaders of the organizations present. These gatherings will enable participants to share networking strategies and learn from each other, in order to strengthen ties and consolidate regional distribution networks.  

Networking Dinners  

Networking dinners will be held in three different formats on November 14, 15 and 16, both pre-organized and random. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet new people and discover Montreal’s culturally diverse gastronomy. Are you a PRO OF PROS badge holder? Dinners are already included in your pass. Otherwise, networking dinners are available for separate purchase.

For a third consecutive year, we are proud to welcome KAMS (Korean Ars Management Service) as presenter of the November 14 networking dinner. We will also be hosting partner cocktails presented by Sound Czech in collaboration with M for Montreal, as well as MMF Connect, presented by MMF Canada.  

The Mundial Magical Mystery Tour: Showcase Extravaganza pPresented by Stingray  

Come aboard the magic bus where intimate artist performances and memorable moments meet. The Mundial Montréal team awaits you with a tour in the colours of musical Montréal, featuring artist showcases in legendary venues and a few surprises. Capacity limited. Registration required.  

Artist Lab  

The much-appreciated Artist Lab is back for its 3rd edition! Aimed directly at artists, this event offers conferences, workshops and opportunities to meet with industry professionals to develop their professional careers. The event is free and open to all!
