Mundial Montréal Reveals The Details Of Their PRO Activities
Mundial Montréal returns for its 12th edition in person from November 15 to 18 and on its virtual networking platform from November 7 to 25. The event holds over 300 professionals from the music industry, including Canadian delegates and internationals who will immerse themselves in the best of the world music scene.
Mundial Montréal is excited to announce that the Speed Schmooze will be taking place in person this year—in the buzzing atmosphere that it is known for. The Speed Schmooze and other professional events will be taking place in various locations along the heart of Quartier des Spectacles including, Les Grands Ballets, Galerie WIP and various cafés in the surrounding area.
The Mentor Café Presented by L’ADISQ
The popular Mentor Café is back this year to the delight of all. This activity will allow delegates to meet with very experienced industry peers in an intimate atmosphere where discussions will be facilitated.
New this Year: An Orientation Session!
This dedicated moment will allow participants to be guided in their Mundial experience, in addition to getting to know the colleagues with whom they will spend the next few days. On the program: presentation of the team and the 2022 program and a Q&A session.
World Routes Network Meeting in Collaboration With CAPACOA
The World Routes Network presenter meetings will provide music programmers with the time and space to come together, amplify their knowledge of existing networks and collaborate further. This will be an opportunity to facilitate block-booking as well as the discoverability global artists presented in the official showcase at Mundial Montréal.
The Artist Lab Co-Presented by TuneCore and QUB musique
The much-loved Artist Lab is back for a 2nd edition! Addressed directly to artists, this activity offers conferences, workshops and opportunities to meet industry professionals aimed at professional career development. This event is free and open to all.
Panels
This year, diversity and inclusion are at the forefront, in addition to an important reflection on the role that art and culture play in driving social change. This edition’s panelists and moderators hail from various parts of the world, including South America, the Middle East, Africa and North America, will share their vision and perspective on current issues affecting the industry and hot topics.
Curating the airwaves: The Role of Radio and Storytelling Presented by CJLO
How do community, college and national radio play a role in bringing global sounds to the airwaves to expand the conversation about diversity and creativity? Panelists Catalina Johnson from Beat Latino, Kelly Belfo from CJLO/Flat Cola, Ruby Jane from Stingray, Sam Fawcet from Worldwide FM and moderator Maïte Belmir from CIBL will be in discussion.
Genre-blending: A new Vision of Traditional and Global Sounds in Electronic Music
Join panelists Ana Luisa Bernardez from Veneno ISO Radio, Carolina Spirulina from Discoño, Hervé Kalongo from Moonshine, Philippe Manasseh from Laylit and our moderator Peggy Hohan from Outside Music/Next Door Records for a discussion on how rave culture has brought different diasporas together in urban cities.
Resilience in the Challenging Political Climates: How does Art and Cultural Organizations Play a Role in Social Activism?
Panelists Marcelo Godoy from Fluvial, Nastasia Y from Blisk, Sarouna Mushasha, Shoshona Kish from International Indigenous Music Summit, Vanessa Kanga from Festival Afropolitain Nomade and Nantali Indongo from CBC as moderator, will be discussing the emergence of art from social movements.
Networking Dinners
Mundial Montréal is happy to announce the return of networking dinners! There will be 3 different types of dinners that are both pre-organized and randomized with the seating chart. Participate in this atypical way to connect with peers in addition to discovering global cuisines in Montreal!
Networking Sessions with International Delegations
This year, Mundial Montréal will present networking cocktails that will allow participants to connect with international delegations. Going through the Scandinavians delegation in collaboration with Nordic Bridges, as well as the meeting of the Czech delegation which will be presented by Sound Czech, this will be the perfect time to connect with members of the European industry!

Affinity Meetings
A series of Affinity meetings will be hosted in collaboration with CAPACOA, MMF Canada, Résonances/AASPAA and Centre des musiciens du Monde to bring together agents, managers, presenters and artists. The perfect time to connect and exchange with colleagues who share the same challenges and realities.
The full program including surprise activities and other hidden gems will be revealed closer to the event. Delegates will be in good hands and create memorable moments at Mundial Montréal 2022!
