{"id":8496,"date":"2025-07-18T10:35:59","date_gmt":"2025-07-18T10:35:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mundialmontreal.com\/?p=8496"},"modified":"2025-08-11T19:03:13","modified_gmt":"2025-08-11T19:03:13","slug":"discover-the-2025-jury-members","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mundialmontreal.com\/en\/discover-the-2025-jury-members\/","title":{"rendered":"Discover the 2025 Jury Members!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p lang=\"FR-FR\" xml:lang=\"FR-FR\"><strong>Mundial Montr\u00e9al is back for its 15\u1d57\u02b0 edition, which will take place from Tuesday, November 18, to Saturday, November 22, 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p lang=\"FR-FR\" xml:lang=\"FR-FR\">Once again this year, more than<strong> 30 showcase artists and over 300 music industry professionals <\/strong>will come together to celebrate the richness and diversity of global music.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"FR-FR\" xml:lang=\"FR-FR\">While we await the unveiling of the first names in the artistic lineup, we\u2019re thrilled to introduce the five jury members who will accompany the participants of this 2025 edition of Mundial.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"FR-FR\" xml:lang=\"FR-FR\">We also want to highlight the essential work of our external programming committee, made up of five experts from various sectors of the music industry: <strong>Mathieu Aubre, Misha Artebyakin, S\u00e9popo Galley, Kerry Clarke, and Catalina Maria Johnson.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p lang=\"FR-FR\" xml:lang=\"FR-FR\">Thanks to their expertise and dedication, numerous artist applications have been rigorously reviewed \u2014 a behind-the-scenes effort we sincerely appreciate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The full artist lineup will be revealed over the coming weeks and months!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><b>Mathieu Aubre<\/b><br \/>\n<i>Charivari Records &#8211;<br \/>\nAfter several years programming music for festivals (M for Montreal, Santa Teresa, SOIR), Mathieu now works with the team at the independent Montreal-based label Charivari Records, while also writing and hosting for various cultural media outlets.<br \/>\n<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><b>S\u00e9popo Galley<\/b><br \/>\n<i>Productions Nuits d&#8217;Afrique<br \/>\nA cultural management professional for nearly twenty years, S\u00e9popo develops artistic projects that foster connection and accessibility. As a programmer at &#8220;Productions Nuits d&#8217;Afrique&#8221; she is responsible for significant events such as the Festival International &#8220;Nuits d&#8217;Afrique&#8221; and the &#8220;Syli d&#8217;Or.&#8221; Her journey between France and Quebec has given her strong expertise in production, touring, and artistic support. Engaged, curious, and closely connected to emerging scenes, she values diversity and network-building, both locally and internationally.<br \/>\n<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><b>Kerry Clarke<\/b><br \/>\n<i>Calgary Folk Music Festival<br \/>\n<\/i>Kerry is the Artistic and Marketing Director of the 46-year-old post-folk Calgary Folk Music Festival, Block Heater, and an off-season concert series. She sits on several non-profit arts boards, has served on many arts juries, is part of WRAD, co-founded Rwanda\u2019s KigaliUp Festival, and produces\/hosts weekly radio programs on CKUA and CJSW.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><b>Catalina Maria Johnson<br \/>\n<\/b><i>Beat Latino<\/i><br \/>\nCatalina Maria Johnson, Ph. D., is a Chicago-based journalist. She hosts and produces her own radio show, Beat Latino, which airs in Chicago on Vocalo (Chicago Public Media). Catalina is also a regular contributor to NPR, Bandcamp, Downbeat, Billboard, and other outlets and a member of the editorial board of Revista Contratiempo.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><b>Misha Artebyakin<br \/>\n<\/b><i>Drom Taberna<br \/>\n<\/i>From the University of Toronto dorms to the outskirts of Moscow, Misha has thrived as an entertainer in every place they&#8217;ve lived. After opening Drom Taberna in 2018 with a merry band of misfits and running close to 100 shows a month, Misha stepped up as Master of Ceremonies for Toronto&#8217;s most cherished and chaotic live music living room. Their thunderous speeches are renowned across the city, telling stories of those with roots in many homelands, weaving together in Toronto to create a musical culture all our own.
