Together, we are launching SuperVISION: Guilds of Music Supervisors International Rendez-Vous, co-presented by MPC (Music Publishers Canada) and APEM (Association des professionnels de l&#8217;\u00e9dition musicale).<\/p>\n<p>With a long-term vision in mind, this project not only celebrates the art of music supervision, but also creates a meeting point for music supervisors and industry movers and shakers. Therefore, SuperVISION: Guilds of Music Supervisors International Rendez-Vous will act as a vehicle for business opportunities for stakeholders in the music, audiovisual, film, television, advertising, and video game industries, among others.<\/p>\n<p>This year, the inauguration of SuperVISION marks the renewal of the music supervision component at M for Montreal and Mundial Montr\u00e9al. This creates an opportunity for more than 20 music supervisors from Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Scandinavia to come together through a series of private meetings, creating a space that allows current and aspiring members of the international guild to discuss current topics related to the industry. The gathering will also provide an opportunity for the development of strategies and activities that will promote the profession in the years to come.<\/p>\n<p>Participants will be able to take part in several exclusive events, such as a mixer with publishers from MPC and APEM at the legendary Ursa Mtl venue during the M for Martha activity (by invitation only).<\/p>\n<p>For the SuperVISION: The B2B Sessions networking event, ticketholders will have the chance to present their new music catalogs to music supervisors through one-on-one meetings.<\/p>\n<p>The B2B Sessions<br \/>\nFor over 10 years, music supervisors have been exceptional guests at M for Montreal and Mundial Montr\u00e9al. To everyone\u2019s delight, the one-on-one meetings are back as part of the B2B Sessions activity this year. Participants will then be able to book a minimum of 5 individual meetings of 8 minutes each with the music supervisors on site. These meetings will provide essential interactions, where industry members will have the chance to pitch their new music catalogs to the supervisors based on their needs and interests.<\/p>\n<p>The event will take place on November 17 at 9:30 am. Get your ticket through the link below to access this activity.*<\/p>\n<p>*PRO badge holders will receive 50% off their ticket.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mundialmontreal.com\/billetterie\/\">Get your ticket for The B2B Sessions<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Student Initiatives<br \/>\nIn an effort to raise awareness around this profession that remains a mystery to many aspiring music professionals, the presentation \u201cThe Music Behind the Scenes, a Day in the Life of a Music Supervisor\u201d will take place on November 14 at McGill University for students in the university\u2019s music program who are enrolled in the course, \u201cThe Music Behind the Scenes\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The Sound and Images masterclass organized by M for Montreal and Mundial Montr\u00e9al in collaboration with the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Music Media and Technology (CIRMMT) will also be offered at CIRMMT on the evening of November 15. Featuring music supervisors, it will provide an inside look into the business of music supervision to students from various Qu\u00e9bec universities, including Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al, Universit\u00e9 de Sherbrooke, Concordia University, \u00c9cole de technologie sup\u00e9rieure, INRS, and Marianopolis College.<\/p>\n<p>Students who take part in the masterclass will receive an EDU badge, which gives them access to all the M for Montreal and Mundial Montr\u00e9al panels, workshops, as well as a 50% discount on the Melomaniac and Discovery badges.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mundialmontreal.com\/billetterie\/\">Students: get your badge<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Discovering the Music in the City<br \/>\nIn order to put discovery at the forefront, the PRO badge includes access to the Official Selection showcases, which are composed of artists handpicked by the M for Montreal and Mundial Montr\u00e9al teams based on their export potential and their presence on the local scene.
